Ye i used it for a while! i felt it was far too heavy and clogged up all my pores! it felt like i was wearing a masc it was so heavy! but if you have acne or want to cover up freckles ( wouldn't recommend covering up freckles) its really good! except be sure to get the right color for your skin as this can have a dramatic effect on the outcome of the finished effect!!! you want it to look natural..not like u stuck your face in mud..xxxx good luck!

I've heard lots of mixed things about this foundation. It is VERY thick. But it is a good foundation none the less. It has SPF 10 in it so it's very protective as well.





The color that would be closest to Toasty Beige would be Shell Beige.

I have just bought Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect foundation, the lady at the counter talked me into buying the Good Morning Skin to wear underneath as it keeps your make up on, is this product any good? Has anyone ever used the foundation before, does it last?Elizabeth Arden make up?

It won't kill you. But a little secret....older skin is dryer so the skin products made for older women have built in moisturizers they may just make you break out more.
I've used anti-ageing cream since I was 15 however I have overly dry skin and it is all that would help it. Unless you have a major dryness problem I would recomend using it, only use products as heavey as you need them.

Any time you put a moisturizer on wrinkles regularly, they'll look a little better. So that might help. But EA makes products specifically for the area around your eyes. Lots of drugstore brands are good, too...like Olay Regenerist and Garnier. Have you tried something specifically for eye wrinkles?





Right now I'm using a Clinique eye product. It's okay, but I think the main benefit is moisturizing the skin. It hasn't combatted puffs when I get them.

It does not last all day, tho. The hand cream is great. Had the perfume too and enjoyed it.


My friend is allergic to it, tho. If you are sensitive to some perfumes, better test it in the shop on your skin first.

You should get someone from the boutique to help you find your right foundation before purchasing it. Maybe return it or exchange it for something different that's right for you..but you're just 13..it's best to keep your young skin away from foundation. If you do want to wear make-up I would recommend a tinted moisturizer. It covers and it's moisturizing. If your desire is to hide acne or anything at all.. maybe try a concealer that blends in well with your skin. Make sure you have a daily routine for your skin. If you do have acne..I do as well:(. I strongly recommend Clinique Acne Solutions. It works very well and is gentle enough to use twice a day. I just got it last week..it's working very well and controls oils..since acne is caused my clogs pores. GOOD LUCK!
i know what it what like to be 13 and i wanted to wear that stuff too and it is perfectly fine to wear it but i would try something from clinque first or loreal or covergirl on your skin because you are so young and you are lucky to have young skin..just make sure you take care of it!!:)

you should probably go with something lighter like clean and clear. a lot of foundations that are anti-aging are too heavy and will make you break out

It's fine to use, anti-aging products fight the breakdown of collagen. (when collegn begins to break down, thats when wrinkles appear). although, i made the mistake of using foundations and concealers early in life, and now i'm left with really dark ugly pores, and i think it was the cause of my acne. when people say 'don't mess with your skin, you don't need it', they really aren't kidding.
Wat the hell do you want to look like a 11 or 10 year old. You dont need no foundation to make you look younger,you probably have god skin and if you continue using foundation when your only 13 it will make your skin rinklely faster. So think about it before you use it
You should not be wearing aging foundation when you are only 13. You should have perfectly healthy skin at your age. You should not be worrying about aging just yet. I do not think you should use it. It might be to heavy for your skin and cause you to break out.
I was 14 when I started using foundation and that's also when I started breaking out. Even stopping wearing foundation and trying lots of OTC amd Mail order products didn't help until I saw the dermatologist 10 years later and got benzaclin and retin-a. Much nicer skin now.





As to your situation, this foundation is formulated for a different skin type then you most likely have, maybe you should go for another brand, like Clinque or something (if you have a choice). I love the Mineral makeups and totally swear by Everyday Minerals.





I left my prescriptions at my sister's house a week ago (I'm seeing her Thursday for other reasons and to get it back) and have been using SPF on my skin and its still pretty clear and I kinda attribute it to the MMU. I'm still going to start taking the prescriptions again, despite the expence, since my pores seem much larger without the retin-a. :( Good luck to you...
It's not a matter of whether or not it's safe for you to use, at 13 you don't really need foundation unless you have severe acne. If you do, then you should talk to a dermatologist before you use any kind of makeup; they can point you in the direction of a product that will help without damaging the skin as many commercial products can do. If you're skin is naturally healthy (with the omission of a few little pimples), then you should leave off foundation and stick to basic makeup.... natural eyeshadow, some liner, and lip gloss. There's no point in covering your face at this stage of your life. Cultivate your character and the rest will take care of itself. Cheers!
umm maybe you should start with tinted moiturizer at your age... its a wash of see-through colour that helps to even out the skin tone without looking like a mask or being too heavy.. it can come with SPF which is good

You can use it all over your face, but I think it'll be better as a night cream as its so thick. Just try a tiny bit on your jawline tonight before you go to bed to make sure you don't have some sort of reaction to it though if you get sensitive skin. I don't know if you are willing to use something ';over the counter'; but the best foundation I have ever used is maybelline super stay silky foundation. It covered all of my problem areas and stays on the longest of anything Ive used. It also didnt clog my pores. It only costs about 9 dollars at any drug store or walmart. as for looking flushed try instead of using blush let your natural red in your cheeks kind of show through use a warm powder everywhere else to even skin and give you a finished look. I prefer pressed powder for the better coverage.
If it's redness you need to cover, get some of that green base. I've got some - doesn't make you look green, just counterbalances any red. No 7 do it for about 拢8.





I wouldn't go with a heavier foundation, it'll look cakey.

Elizabeth Arden is not listed on any of PETA's sites for testing or not testing. BUT, their corporate website says nothing about cruelty free products anywhere so I think that is a red flag. What kind of makeup did you buy? (foundation, eyeshadow, eye liner). I used to be a freelance makeup artist and worked with Elizabeth Arden for a brief period of time. Personally, I didn't like EA's makeup. Sorry :-( Perhaps you will have a different experience. But it really depends on what you bought. For example, they are well known for their pancake foundation here in Texas because there are a lot of old school types that like that sort of stuff. I prefer sheer foundations. I also don't think their shadows and blushes are pigmented very well- they don't seem to blend as well as other types but more than that it just seems to take more shadow than other brands (such as M.A.C. and Stila). I have used their gloss and that is ok. I have never used Estee Lauder so I'm not sure about that. Again, just my opinion and I hope you are happy with your purchases!

I have never had any luck with elizabeth arden product's. Try Estee Lauder. They're fab.

I have Flawless FInish Mousse Makeup. It comes out like a hair mousse-kinda cool and I found my shade which is also great. BUT, it is extremely oily. I got shiny within an hour. Don't overdo it on the makeup. If you turn up looking like a cheap hooker, your manager isn't going to be impressed. Don't overdo the colours and keep it natural and subtle. Try not to overdo it on Arden products either - manager's hate try hard's. Make sure you are fresh faced, perky and your outfit is decent, ironed and cleaned. Hair should be tyed back neatly, or if left out, make sure it is frizz free and clean.





Speaking wise, talk only when talked to, and don't give extensive random answers. Keep it short, simple and sweet but not boring. Let your personality shine through and don't act nervous or scared - they thrive on confidence.

Elizabeth Arden just came out with a new perfume, called Mediterranean. I would like to know which stores carry it. I live in southern California. I need somewhere that both carries it, and has tester bottles available because I don't know what it smells like. The Macy's stores in my area don't carry Elizabeth Arden, and JC Penny's doesn't have tester bottles of them. I know the tip is usually 15-20%. But the service is different and location is in a shopping center. They do a great job on my nails. I tip according to the 15-20 percent rule, but tend to tip a little more if the experience and the quality of the service is better than I expected.





I understand what you mean about some of the strip mall type nail salon etiquette. Some workers can be ignorant because they did not learn manners about how to treat a customer.





Use your own judgment. Don't decide your tip amount based on location but I would tip higher too if the person did more than one service for me and I was happy with the results.





That goes for airports, restaurants, taxis, any kind of service that requires a tip.

No. They do make a waterproof formula as well, but smudgeproof only means it stays once dry and won't rub off if you touch your eye. If you get your lashes wet, all bets are off.

I havent heard of tropical or lotus, I have only heard of the Scent Spray and the Intense Eau de Parfum Spray- which is a stronger form, but I would suggest the Scent Spray for a lighter scent.

I am thinking of buying this cream (have tried a sample before) but I'm not sure whether it can be used under foundation? It is quite thick and greasy and I just don't know if foundation would smooth on and blend correctly is you use 8 hour cream under neath it?

try putting it on your dryest spots and then do your hair or get dressed or something so it sinks, then try blending a dab of it and your foundation in the palm of your hand then applying with a damp sponge as foundation

I have never tried it under foundation, but generally moisturizers work well underneath foundation. however there are some brands of moisturizer that make foundation application and blending more difficult. similarly there are some types of foundation which don't work as well with moisturizer underneath. this is why I find primers to be so great. many people put on moisturizer and apply primer over it before they put on their foundation. the primers are designed to assist in application of foundation so it means you don't have to worry about the moisturizer affecting the way your foundation goes on your skin. primers also help your make-up to stay on longer.


I suggest you buy the 8 hour cream and try it under your foundation. if you find it doesn't work as well as you like you can still use it, just use a primer over it before you put on your foundation. try out smashbox photo finish or mac prep n prime.
Yeah,, any kind of moisturiser will act as a primer and make your foundation go on smoother :)

I hope it wasn't opened at all. I think you should be fine. However, all cosmetics should be used within 1 year of opening, so I would use that as your expiration date.

It's for specifically dry and sore areas, you could use it overnight to treat areas on your face but as it's so stiff in consistency it would take forever to cover your face in it and also make up does not go over it well at all. This makes it an inappropriate daily moisturiser unless you don't wear make up and you have very dry skin all over your face. It really is a bit too heavy to use daily. It is formulated to use on particularly dry skin areas like the ones mentioned in the advice sheet. I have extremely dry skin, and once a week I put EA 8 hour Cream on my face to give it a ';drink';, but I wouldn't use it daily. For rosacea I'd recommend you see your doctor who can prescribe special creams for this condition. Good luck !
I would say it was a bit heavy, because it's so so thick. It might be suitable to wear at night, just to see if it clears any of the redness.
